Denver Weekend Weather

Well, jeeze. It's been hot. The last several days shapes up like this:

Tuesday: 96º
Wednesday: 97º
Thursday: 99º (Tied record high)
Friday: TBD but shooting for 100º

We're already in the 90s right now and that means that the last 9 days have seen 90º or higher!

We're going to break that streak in the coming days.

This weekend looks iffy depending on what you like. We will get a reprieve from heat but we will bring back rain chances.

SPC Outlook for Saturday
A marginal risk of severe storms are up for Saturday. This will come as a cold front draped across the area! Clouds will build in the afternoon and then the rain will come. Due to the fact that this rain is coming from a cold front - there will be sufficient lift to produce some stronger storms. We'll have to watch this somewhat closely. Main threats are in play for Saturday. Hail and wind mainly. Highs on Saturday will be tricky. It's all dependent on when the cold front moves through but right now it looks like it could move through in the AM which would mean temperatures wouldn't budge much from the morning temps. That means that highs tomorrow could stick in the 70s... but I think we'll warm up into the lower 80s

Sunday continues with the rain chances. More of a typical afternoon storm pattern for Sunday. Highs on Sunday will be tricky too. Highs have been looking to be in the upper 70s but since the front is moving through sooner, we may rebound quicker leaving highs in the low to mid-80s more likely.

Next week we move back into a typical summertime/monsoon setup. Afternoon storms will be possible each afternoon. Highs will remain around average (which is near 90º right now) so, we won't be too far off the normal path.

Next solid chance of rain comes later next week.

Have a great weekend! Stay dry and enjoy the nicer temps!
