This Week in Denver Weather

Hey everyone! Hope you had a good weekend.

We had some crazy storms around the Metro this weekend. Some of the loudest lightning I've ever heard happened on Saturday, as well as, .50-1.00" of rain! Super good for us. Sunday was mainly dry and sunny until the evening when storms started firing up. Most of these were just west of Denver by about 5 miles and the folks under those storms had small hail, lightning and LOTS of rain. Flash flooding was an issue across a good chunk of the state over the weekend.

As we head into this week, we move back into a typical summertime pattern. High temperatures will range from 88º-93º respectively. Pretty normal for this time of the year.

As far as rain chances are concerned, our typical high pressure is dominating. What this does is grabs pacific moisture and transports it into our area. This produces rain because of the added moisture, heating and topographical influences of the mountains. Pretty interesting but pretty normal too.

Overall, expect cloud cover each afternoon and a chance of storms as well. Per usual, small hail and gusty winds will accompany these storms.

Enjoy the week!
