Heyooo. It's Friday!
In National News: Tropical Storm Barry is likely to make landfall on Saturday in Lousiana. Although this is a Tropical Storm and not a hurricane - the threat level is is still very high due to extreme amounts of rain that is supposed to fall.
Back to Colorado.
You may have noticed the cloudiness out there. Storms are erupting across the state. These will be accompanied by strong winds and some fat raindrops.
The rest of today will calm down a bit in regards to rain.
Saturday will be very similar to today. We are looking at a decent chance of afternoon showers and storms. The atmosphere is dry but getting slightly moister. That will help through the weekend in regards to rain chances. They will be elevated.
As you can see above, there will be showers around. Mainly in the mountains but some of those (but like today, will move out onto the Plains and create some gusty winds and locally heavy downpours.
Notice how this radar image looks a little more intense in terms of rain coverage. There is a likelihood of rain on Sunday thanks to that shortwave disturbance. This trend continues into Monday as well.

Sunday is no different. Highs will again be very warm. Near 95. This is about 5º+ above normal for this time of the year. A weak little disturbance is going to help shower and storm activity initiate and become more widespread for not just Sunday but Monday too.

Notice how this radar image looks a little more intense in terms of rain coverage. There is a likelihood of rain on Sunday thanks to that shortwave disturbance. This trend continues into Monday as well.
Next week....turns out, looks the same. 90s all week (a very minor cool down is possible Monday but I wouldn't put money on 80s for highs), there will also be a consistent chance for rain all week. These will be your typical afternoon storms.
